Things to do nearby

CAMANA BAY

Camana Bay is a lively waterfront town offering plenty of entertainment options featuring restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques, shops, and a movie theatre. Take the time to visit the 75-foot tall observation tower to enjoy beautiful views across the north sound and ocean. Kids love to splash in the various fountain playgrounds. It’s also home to international businesses and schools, and residents of the condos overlooking the harbour. Every Wednesday, there is a weekly farmers and artisans market. Boat tours set sail from the docks, and there’s even a heli-pad.

National Gallery of the Cayman Islands GEORGE TOWN

The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands celebrates art and honours the artistic heritage of the Caymanian culture. Enjoy the work of local and international artists who visit, exhibit, live and work in the Cayman Islands. As well as exhibitions, there are learning programmes for adults and children, annual events, and monthly art documentary screenings (second Wednesday of every month). Located on the Esterley Tibbets Highway, it’s easy to find, and there is plenty of parking.

SEVEN MILE BEACH

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine walking along a stretch of powdery, white sand fringed with clear, aquamarine blue water, lapping gently against the shore. Feel the warmth of the setting sun that paints the sky with shades of blue, pink, and gold. What’s terrific about this idyllic scene is that it’s real. Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach offers visitors a mesmerising seascape. In addition, the absence of crowds ensures visitors can enjoy pure tranquillity. SMB is the perfect spot for a moment of repose. The best part of this outdoor treat is its accessibility as it runs parallel to West Bay Road.
