Farm-to-table, sustainable and eco-friendly are just some of the terms to describe Tomfoodery Kitchen & Bar in Camana Bay.
Chef Thomas Tennant has created a fast casual, Caribbean-inspired restaurant that offers diners fresh, homemade meals that are also affordable. You’ll find a handful of authentic Caribbean dishes, but the menu tends to use flavours of the region in creative ways.
As you walk into Tomfoodery you are greeted by high ceilings, colourful murals and locally produced artwork, including their famous seagrape tree centrepiece made from recyclable materials.
Tomfoodery have decided to take part in this year’s Restaurant Month, but unlike many restaurants they’ve chosen to launch a brand new menu for it. Diners can stop by for their dinner-only menu from 5-9pm daily to try these novel creations throughout the month of October.
They’re offering a 2-course menu that consists of a main and dessert, plus a choice between their boozy, but popular, Frosé or any non-alcoholic beverage. From October 1-15 they’re serving Trini Curry Duck and Roasted Mojo Pork Belly, and October 16-31 they’re swapping it over to Peri Peri Chicken and Slow Roasted Bluff Goat.
It’s a unique approach to change the menu halfway through the month, but it does allow diners to come back to the restaurant and have an entirely new experience.
Tomfoodery is the pick of the week because it brings a new outlook on Caribbean flavours and features delicious dishes that are here for a limited time only.
