Fresh Menu & Ocean Air Dining

Situated in Old Man’s Bay on the Northside of Cayman, Over the Edge Café is a welcoming and charming waterfront Cayman restaurant, where guests are guaranteed a relaxing dining experience while enjoying the soft ocean breeze and breathtaking views.

It is the perfect place to unwind and absorb the true spirit of Island living, while enjoying freshly prepared Cayman inspired cuisine.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, the menu features a selection of freshly caught seafood that is prepared with locally grown produce for mouthwatering results.

From The Edge to Over the Edge with Philippe Gros

With a character as warm as his restaurant and a twinkle in his eye like the morning sun reflecting off the surrounding ocean, Philippe Gros, manager and owner of Over the Edge charmed me with engaging stories of his younger years including an intriguing adventure crossing the Sahara Desert when he was in his 20s.

Originally from Burgundy in France, Philippe arrived in Cayman in 1986 to work as the executive chef at Grand Pavilion.  Having fallen in love with Island life, Philippe was inspired to open The Edge restaurant in Bodden Town in the late 1990s, followed by Over the Edge Café in 2001, taking over the old Apollo II bar in Northside.  He is well known in the community and a popular face at the restaurant!

Philippe personally developed the restaurants’ Cayman inspired menu, adding some international favourites, with something for everyone, appealing to both local and international guests.  Philippe even provides fresh produce to the restaurant from his small farm in the Lookout area in Bodden Town.

Local fisherman, Douglas Ebanks has been providing the restaurant with fresh fish since it first opened, pulling up his boat, Blue Moon, on the neighbouring dock to drop off his catch, fresh out of the ocean.

Popular with locals and a must visit for tourists, Over the Edge will keep you coming back for more!  My personal favourite and a must try, if you have not already, is their Fish and Fritters combo… absolutely delicious!

Over the Edge offers seating inside by the bar, in the covered terrace and on the ocean front deck.

Opening hours: 7 days a week from 8:30am 8:00pm.

Tel: 1-345-947-9568

Food delivery will be available soon through Grab It. (Lookout for updates early 2022).
