Camana Bay is a lively waterfront town offering plenty of entertainment options featuring restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques, shops, and a movie theatre. The Cayman Islands National Museum was established in 1979 to collect, preserve and exhibit the cultural, natural and art history of the Cayman Islands. Situated on the waterfront of Cayman’s capital, George Town, the building housing the National Museum dates back to the early 1800s. The Museum hosts two permanent exhibition galleries and three changing exhibition galleries. The Cayman Islands Museum is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays, all year round (except bank holidays). The first Monday of every month is free for Cayman residents.
